Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, style, culture and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

Hike To The Hollywood Sign

Hike To The Hollywood Sign

They say the west coast is the best coast and for my first trip of the fall season I had to see for myself.

Celebrating one of my best friends’ birthdays and catching a glimpse of the Hollywood Sign was at the top of the itinerary.
I and a few others tried last year but did not have proper shoes for the hike

When tourist are making plans to visit LA, the Hollywood Sign is usually a top priority.
We parked at the Griffith Observatory which was 10 usd an hour.

The maps leading to the hike are all pretty confusing and aren’t tourist friendly.
As we hiked, we asked so many locals how to get there and received a different answer every time.
Two hours into the hike and we thought about turning back and calling it a day.

We didn’t give up and decided to keep moving forward.
After many breaks, to take in the scenery we finally made it!

Of course, you can’t hike directly to the sign and this is where the trail ended.
This is an opportunity I am glad to scratch off my bucket list but an experience I would say isn’t worth it.
The hike isn’t tourist friendly and the directions leading to the sign are little to no help, with there being multiple paths to take.

If this is the hike for you please bring lots of water, a few snacks along with the proper shoes and take your time!
Pace yourself, enjoy the view and realize how far you have come.
The Hollywood Sign down and so much more of the world to go!
