Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, style, culture and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

D.C For The Day

D.C For The Day

It has always been a dream of mine to visit Washington D.C and take in the history of the Nation’s Capital.
There are plenty of ways to travel into D.C and we figured the most convenient means of transportation was by train.
With only three stops from Baltimore, we got off and walked right into history as we know it.

The Capital building was just a block away from the train station.
Greeted by a plethora of American Flags towering over us, we made our way down the block, keeping in mind of other sights to see!

The Nation’s Capital was surrounded by the three branches of government buildings along with the Supreme Court and the Library of Congress.
I enjoyed every moment of being here! From the architect to the garden and with the Washington Monument in the background was just breathtaking.

As we headed over to The Washington Monument we were shocked by the dozens of food trucks conveniently located around the capital.
The walk to the monument is about thirty minutes, but keep in mind there are plenty of bike tours and even hop on and hop off busses that will get you there.

A Must See

With being on a crunch for time, we needed to move quickly and next up was The World War II Memorial, The Lincoln Memorial and The Vietnam Veterans Memorial.

I stood right where Martin Luther King Jr gave his “I Have A Dream” speech and was just taken back within this moment.
Last stop before heading back was The White House!

A lot smaller in person.

Though I wasn’t able to visit everything within a few hours, I am happy I had the chance to experience so much history and beauty in one sitting.
I’ll be back! Possibly as the next president!
