“Becoming” The Daisha Board Gallery of Dallas.

Located In the West Dallas area, The Daisha Board Gallery Is a Contemporary Art Gallery representing a range of artists locally and abroad!
The work of Jennifer Monet Cowley is now on display until March 19th, titled ‘Patchwork.’

‘Patchwork’

Inspired by quilts with hidden messages/stories.

The artist herself was there to enlighten and explain some of her most personal work to date!

‘May God Protect’

Cowley explaing the patchwork and textures that went into her piece.

Not too often, do you walk into an Black Woman-Owned Art Gallery, during Black History Month and have the pleasure of the artist welcoming you into their world!

From the complimentary wine, to the spiritual tunes of Stevie Wonder the ‘Patchwork’ of Cowley’s pieces weren’t only being seen but also heard.

‘Still Nigga’

One of my favorites, was the piece titled ‘Still Nigga’ inspired by The Story of OJ by Jay Z.
The different textures and colors depicting The Brown Paper Bag Test, where black people skin tones were compared to a brown paper bag.

If you are in the Dallas area please checkout This Art Gallery and support these artist on various platforms.

Art speaks where words are unable to explain!
